Prerequisites for the full training

The first module is an introductory class. 

  1. Attend the first module, and then a formal interview and application are required if you are interested in applying. If you intend to take the whole training, you can apply beforehand, but being accepted into the full program is based on how the first module/intro class goes, and if Kate feels that you are ready. 

Other Requirements after module 1

  1. Fill out the application through this link and send two-character references. If you are of sound psychological shape, then...

  2. Have an interview with Kate and Alexa, If you live far away, you can also do a zoom interview and we will see if the program is a good fit for you. 

  3. Having regular support from a somatic experiencing therapist, or EMDR therapist, talk therapist, or registered craniosacral therapist/RCST is required during the training at least every other month. This needs to happen with people outside the class, not TA's assisting. 

  4. For all of those who are not LMT’s, OT’s, PT’s, Chiropractor’s, Osteopath’s, Dentist’s, Lic Ac's etc; you will be required to take our anatomy class online before or during the class at Dr. Kate’s School for the course. 

  5. This is a professional training, so having emotional regulation skills are required. 

  6. To be in good psychological and physical health and stability. 

  7. This work is based in relational field. Students are required to co-create a safe relational field for the teacher, other students, and TA's will be asked to leave after warning. This work is based in safety and compassion for all in room including the TA's and teacher. 


Foundational Training Curriculum

​As a BCST/NA-accredited/certified teacher and practitioner, I am bound by the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America's code of ethics.

This is a young profession and the BCST/NA is an anchor to clarify this work to be taught in a coherent, consistent way.

This curriculum is based in Dr. Kate's clinical experience, professional studies, and teachers who are British Osteopaths: Michael Kern ( Author of Wisdom in The Body, and Katherine Ukleja. They have both been teaching and practicing for over 30+ years.

  • The Holistic Shift & Tissue Motility

  • Reciprocal Tension Motions, Automatic Shifting & Inertial Fulcrums

  • Skills of Augmentation: Space and Fluid

  • Cranial Nerves: Especially Social Nervous System/ Vagus Nerve

  • Birth Processes & Cranial Base Patterns

  • Primal Mid-line, Pelvis & Vertebral Dynamics

  • Intraosseous Patterns, CNS Motility, Nociception & Facilitation

  • Dynamics of the Face, Hard Palate and TMJ

  • Connective tissue field, joint dynamics and introduction to organ and visceral dynamics, how the gut affects everything and especially your brain

  • Clinical Information: Concussions, Headaches, Vertigo, Tinnitus, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety

  • Ignition processes, completions, graduation, celebration!
